Anusha Thotakura is a Research Associate at CJLS and an Assistant Lecturer at the Jindal Global Law School. She graduated with an LL.M. degree from University of California, Berkeley in 2023 and received her BA LL.B. (Hons.) degree from O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) in 2021. She was the recipient of the Irving Tragen Law School Fellowship and the Logan Scholarship at UC Berkeley. Anusha worked at CJLS before pursuing her LL.M. degree at UC Berkeley. At CJLS, she primarily worked on issues related to sexual and reproductive health and rights, anti-carceral politics, gender and sexuality, and disability rights. During her time at JGU, she co-founded a society for disability inclusion, actively worked in the Disability rights clinic and served as the student representative of the Disability Support Committee. She received the Dean’s awards for Outstanding Leadership and Outstanding Contribution to Social Service/ Community Engagement at JGU. Her research interest lies in disability justice, labour rights, anti-carceral politics, gender and sexuality, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and human psychology.
